There are many methods for parts inspection. From the actual situation of mechanical equipment repair, it can be roughly summarized as follows:

(1) Sensory inspection method refers to the method of identifying the technical status of parts only by the intuitive feeling of inspectors without inspection equipment. This method can not be used for quantitative inspection, can not be used to inspect parts with high accuracy requirements, and requires inspectors to have rich experience.

(2) Instrument and tool inspection method is divided into the inspection of general measuring tools, special measuring tools, mechanical instruments and meters, optical instruments, electronic instruments, etc.

(3) Physical inspection method refers to a method that uses physical quantities such as electromagnetic, light, sound and heat to detect the technical status of parts through the changes caused by workpieces. This method is usually used to inspect the hidden defects inside the parts without damaging the parts themselves, including magnetic particle method, penetration method and ray method.
